Three women who know their reason for being

Roberta will be reading at this event. Join us for a reading by Cincinnati Poet Laureate Pauletta Hansel and authors included in the anthology of contemporary Appalachian literature, Quarried: Three Decades of Pine Mountain Sand & Gravel. Readers will include Weatherford award-winner Richard Hague, who edited the anthology, Pine Mountain Sand & Gravel co-editor Michael Henson, and Kentucky writers Chris Green, Dale Marie Prenatt, Roberta Schultz, Anne Shelby, Misty Skaggs, Frankie Wolf and Marianne Worthington. Pauletta Hansel is a Kentucky-born poet and memoirist who was recently appointed as Cincinnati’s first Poet Laureate. She is author of five poetry collections, most recently Tangle (Dos Madres Press, 2015). Quarried: Three Decades of Pine Mountain Sand & Gravel is collection of poetry, fiction and nonfiction spanning more than thirty years of literature from Appalachia's 13-state sprawl.
